Itinerary
Day 01 :
Arrival in Addis Ababa – Drive to Dinsho (Bale Mountains National Park HQ)
- Arrive in Addis Ababa and meet our representative.
- Drive to Dinsho (7-8 hours), passing through scenic landscapes.
- Visit the Bale Mountains National Park headquarters and spot endemic wildlife.
- Overnight camping at Dinsho.
Day 02 :
Dinsho – Trek to Sodota Camp (Approx. 20 km, 6-7 hours)
- Start the trek through the lush highland vegetation.
- Pass through Gaysay Grasslands, home to mountain nyalas and reedbucks.
- Continue through the Web Valley, crossing the Web River.
- Overnight camping at Sodota Camp.
Day 03 :
Sodota – Trek to Wasema Camp (Approx. 16 km, 6-7 hours)
- Trek through Afro-alpine meadows and cross small streams.
- Enjoy stunning views of the Bale Mountains and volcanic formations.
- Look out for Ethiopian wolves hunting rodents.
- Overnight camping at Wasema Camp.
Day 04 :
Wasema – Trek to Garba Guracha (Approx. 15 km, 5-6 hours)
- Trek through the Sanetti Plateau, home to diverse bird species.
- Pass through dramatic escarpments and high-altitude lakes.
- Reach Garba Guracha, a stunning alpine lake.
- Overnight camping at Garba Guracha.
Day 05 :
Garba Guracha – Trek to Sanetti Plateau – Drive to Goba
- Morning trek to the Sanetti Plateau, one of the highest plateaus in Africa.
- Explore the otherworldly landscapes and spot Ethiopian wolves.
- Transfer by vehicle to Goba for a comfortable overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 06 :
Goba – Drive Back to Addis Ababa & Departure
- Early morning drive back to Addis Ababa (7-8 hours).
- Last-minute shopping or sightseeing in Addis Ababa.
- Enjoy a farewell dinner before transfer to the airport for departure.
